This months #WPLDN will feature a selection of Lightning Session speakers, the topics will be varied and each one lasting no more than 10 minutes. We’ll also be hearing from 10up’s Head of Europe – Gabe Karp on the content creation process.
Speakers
Gabe joins the 10up team from London where he brings more than 10 years of experience working with NGOs, major political campaigns and large corporate clients to design and develop digital platforms. He works closely with his clients to craft strategies and solutions, helping organisations achieve their goals by leveraging thoughtful, impactful design and the right technology solutions.
Gary Jones is a UK-based WordPress Engineer, educator, code consultant, and proud father of twins. Driven by a passion for excellence, he creates elegant WordPress plugins and theme solutions for clients, and provides services, including code audits, for other designers and developers. He has worked on projects for SiteGround, Yoast, StudioPress, Web Savvy Marketing, Daniels Trading, Rolls-Royce and many smaller design and development agencies and individuals.
Gary is a key contributor to the Genesis Framework and has contributed to most major branches of WordPress Core since 3.3. He has contributed to many open source projects in the community, and is a co-host on the UK Genesis podcast.
A former teacher in schools and prisons, Gary’s goal is to educate WordPress professionals on how they can improve their code. His motto is knowledge is power.
Louise is the MD of Indigo Tree, a WordPress design & development agency with expertise in website strategy, content creation and technical SEO for businesses, non-profits, agencies and schools across the UK. With over thirty years of experience in software and website development, Louise has grown Indigo Tree over the last decade, driven by her passion for technology and business and an enthusiasm to deliver the best results to clients.
Louise is also the founder of Kanoppi, an innovative extension to WordPress that helps organisations measure and reduce their websites’ carbon footprint.
