This month at #WPLDN, Tim Nash will scare (and educate) us all with a truly terrifying security talk. Meanwhile, Ignat from our web host sponsor, SiteGround, will join us to shed some light on third-party API integrations in WordPress.
Speakers
Tim is a WordPress security consultant with a background in development and system administration. He has worked with WordPress for nearly two decades and founded one of the very first commercial WordPress plugins. Today, he provides security reviews, consulting, and training. An active member of the UK WordPress community, Tim is also an international speaker who enjoys both scaring and enlightening people at conferences, referring to himself as a professional doomspeaker. You can find out more about him at timnash.co.uk.
Ignat Georgiev is a senior WordPress developer with over 10 years of diverse experience in the field. His journey has taken him from crafting bespoke client solutions in agency setting to architecting plugins used by millions worldwide in his current role at SiteGround. A frequent traveler to WordCamps and meetups, Ignat is deeply engaged with the WordPress community – both as a member and contributor.
When not immersed in code, he’d like to think that you’ll find him taking walks on the beach with his beloved Shiba Inu – Nori, exploring new technologies, or discovering new corners of the world. In reality, he’s probably just debugging that one stubborn function while Nori patiently waits for her overdue walk, likely chewing on Ignat’s favorite SiteGround socks.
